Hello all.
I return from the brink! And by that I mean that I'm all for the revival and hope writing this will perhaps kickstart it a little further. So. What to say? I didn't cry as much as anticipated yesterday with last day of school, graduation etc- I had planned on being in endless floods all day long, but 'twas not to be. However, I haven't read my grad book yet, so there is still time. Well, to be honest, I have little to say except that I really have to apply to VTAC today or else and also that this is utterly surreal- it hasn't sunk in yet on any level that I will never more go to school and the HSC starts in three weeks. It just doesn't compute. And with that, I bid ye farewell and incite you to write something yourselves. Love, Kath

as we go on, we remember...
i just spent around an hour and a half reading through old fruitsalad entries and laughing a lot.. good therapy, that. so i thought- seeing as we're graduating freakishly soon, i'd attempt to resuscitate good old fruitsalad and see what where it'll go next year, fun idea no?
well, its been aaages since the last entry so main update would be... year twelve really isn't the best of years but i've impressed even myself with the smooth-sailingness of it all- on the emotional side of it, that is. mainly.
its scary to think this time next year we won't be in school anymore- and that (maybe) some of us will be overseas(!), i was doing some yearbook stuff and *had* to look up the spanish riding school (which for your interest, is in vienna, austria.) but its soo fascinating because you have to do a riding audition and write an application (in german i'm guessing) to be admitted into the riding school, and then you have to train for TEN years before you're officially a Rider! how very obscure and interesting. its sooo lovely i must visit it one day.
okay, ext2 english and yearbook call, loudly.
reviving fruitsalad would be oh so cool guys. (even if only after hsc:))
puh-lease?:)

hello
since getting back i've heard that we have this one blog a month rule so here's april?
so me, gil and 67 other girls from our school went to china for 15 days from the 23-3 to the 6-4 2005.
it was a pretty awesome experience... but to cover it all i might just make a list of cool things about china:
*the plane trip was fun... my first memorable one... sat next to christine and thanks heaps for the plane letters, they were sweet *beijing... walking the streets was really interesting, everythin was just so different and diverse and stuff... heaps of sights to see of course *the great wall was definitely cool, mostly because it was large and took a long time to get to (2 hour bus trip and 1000 step race) but also because it was pretty *we took a rickshaw ride through the hutongs (short backstreets) of beijing which was awesome just because it was so different and there was so much to see/hear/smell without having to walk! *chinese channel [V] was really funny cos they have all the western equivalents (gil and i spotted the chinese avril etc.) sometimes they played english songs, but by the end of watching ti straight for like a week i was more in love with the intervals and my cool green song *did a lot of sleeping on the bus *xi'an was a cool city, not so much because of the terracotta warriors but more the presence of more fresh air and green stuff *the people were really cool and funny --> at first it was daunting to be laughed at but then we laughed back at them (in a friendly manner) *our tour guides! the other bus had a tour guide for the whole time named david and he was cool cos he was excitable and sang songs for them --> but in xi'an we had james who clearly was the coolest --> he was just really cute cos he kept smiling this huge smile and saying "if you want explanation, follow the james..." --> we also had a cool girl named kelly who sang for us in shanghai *shopping --> we went to tons of markets and haggling and all that was quite cool after we got the hang of it *this egg tart fun times christine, anthea and i had when we went to a restaurant during free time just to get egg tarts and we got the whole restaurant to ourselves practically with all the waiters staring at us and entrees and drinks just for our egg tarts and then later they had to get the assistant manager in because they couldn't understand me *heaps of acrobatic shows and dancing things which were really pretty and quite strange but fun to watch *the food! we had peking duck banquets and dumpling banquets with 20 different dumplings each (in different shapes like ducks and pigs and walnuts and pumpkin) and a mongolian bbq *meeting all the different people from all the different schools --> exchanging emails, presents and awkward conversations --> but they were really cool and their schools were really interesting *playing with all the different orchestras and bands --> they were really good... but we matched them (apparently) *stuff like games/trivia/talent quest nights *and our grade was awesome --> topping the cool list --> it was cool to spend those two weeks with the 18 other year 11s
so yeah there was a lot of stuff and you were most likely bored by my list as i have a talent for boring people with interesting things. but it was very fun (i won't make a list of the not-so-cool things) and now i'm looking forward to a holiday full of work... or avoiding work.
have a good holiday!

hello all!
this is my april blog :). today we went to the opera house for an english excursion to see 'influence' which i liked, it was interesting. i liked the set most. yesterday i had a drama excursion to sydney theatre company which was uneventful but i also gave blood because it finished early - which was very cool. but now i have this little scab/scar on the inside of my elbow and its like a lump so i hope it goes away very very soon cause its ugly.
tomorrow is mufti 'dressed in the dark' day for yr 12 luncheon. will find out what the weather is going to be like before i decide what to wear. should be fun. i'm so excited about the holidays! wanna do lots of fun stuff in the first week cause i have horseriding camp mon-thurs second week and church camp from fri-sun. and if anyone doesn't know i'm attempting to revive this blog by harrassing people and bugging them to write once a month. so here i am to not be a hypocrite.
oh yes and i got baptised on the weekend! very big event. my parents got me a topaz and amethyst white gold ring engraved with the date (030405 - pretty cool) and wanted to say a huge huge thankyou to everyone who came! it was so nice to see you all there and i'll get your thankyou notes to you very soon i promise.
[i've tried to hide it so that no one knows but i guess it shows when i look into your eyes]

It has certainly been a while. I'm rather bored presently, procrastinating and waiting for dinner, so I thought I may as well fulfill my duty here so I cannot be accused by Fel or Cheryl of being noncommital. I have little to say. Um. Presently I'm reading A Clockwork Orange, which is good, if requiring a lot of concentration, and The Godfather, which is fantabulous, to say the least. I concur that this website should not die, but I'm really a very lazy person, and am unwilling to do much about it. I will try, however, as I feel 'tis my duty as the naughty one of fruitsalad. What else is occuring in my life? Tomorrow I'm going to see James Morrison at nsb with my darling husband, then I'm staying at his house, which is frankly the awesomest thing ever. Well, my dinner has reached fruition, so I must leave it there. Later, perhaps, Katherine

as promised very long ago i'm here and blogging. and i've run out of things to say already. what joy! anyways i'm procrastinating from doing anything because i don't like school :(. i don't like school, but its one of the sacrifices of my time i have to make to achieve my dream... so therefore i attend. oh yes, today was tri-hi day... i don't know whether that's even written right but you all know what i mean. um, i'm wanting to sleep early tonight so there isn't much more time for me to write.
oh well, time to finish with a pretty quote as opposed to a song lyric...
'those who dance are considered insane by those who cannot hear the music'
